This EP was a long time coming - nearly three years in fact. Initially, the plan was for a sort of industrial / electro-punk album called "Young And Pissed", largely consisting of tracks I'd already written, with a few straight punk tracks thrown on as a bonus. However, a few months after finishing "Utopian", I got my hands on an electric guitar and sometime later got myself a Line 6 Guitar Port as well. From there on, I was able to do proper guitar tracks - none of that synth shit.
Almost all of the EP was actually finished by Spring 2009, but I just felt it needed one more track to finish it off. At that point I ran into trouble cos the tracks I was doing just didn't fit. It wasn't until March 2010 that I finally wrote "Faster" and could start doing the final mix.
So... I suppose the curious thing about this EP is the way it sort of flipped over from being an industrial album with punk bonus tracks, to being a punk EP with industrial bonus tracks. In fact, the bonus tracks were originally meant to be the core of "Young And Pissed". Some of them are obviously quite old now - in fact the lyrics for "Tame Anarchy" were written way back in 1998!
All tracks written, recorded, mixed, produced by Neil O'Brien. "Demons" features a guitar solo by Grant Starr @ 2:50. Art work by Neil O'Brien.
