The inspiration for this album was my home town of Sunderland - both it's people and it's places. This is one of my favourite albums, along with "AgitProp". It's focussed and quite polished too, considering it was written in my pre-VSTi days. It also features some of my favourite tracks and lyrics - notably "Where I'm Coming From" and "Things To Do On A Tuesday Night". This was (and arguably still is) my most vocal-oriented work - fully half of the 12 tracks involve vocals, which I somehow managed to avoid fouling up too badly. And then to top it off, I'm chuffed with the artwork which is all based around photographs kindly provided by Jake Howlett.
All tracks written, recorded, mixed, produced by Neil O'Brien. Art work also by Neil O'Brien. Photography by Jake Howlett.
