This EP is very much a reflection of the political atmosphere of the times: bullshit and horror on all fronts. Really, this is a sort of sequel / continuation of "The Long Dark Tunnel", but I think with far stronger tracks on the whole. Again, it's a very vocal-led EP and has what I'd regard as some of my best lyrics. The track with Nuff X came about when he asked me to write and record some lyrics for a track he'd done. He had a few rough lines written himself, but after I gave him my lyrics, he scrapped them and re-wrote them to fit the new theme better. He also made substantial changes to the track. This remix was based on the original version of the track.
This EP represents something of a technical advance on my previous works: this was the first project I did using VSTi's, although it's by no means consistent in that respect. I also had a brief dalliance with a demo version of FL Studio 6 - the guitar parts on "What The World Needs" were done with the Slayer plug-in on that program. I've since gotten better guitar sounds elsewhere.
This EP isn't exactly available as a free download: the links are to early / rough mixes of the tracks. The proper version is a lot tighter on the production front and features three bonus remixes. It can be bought from the 5 Finger website.
